Definition station in American English

station noun

[countable] noun
/ˈsteɪʃ(ə)n/

Differences between American and British English: station

In the U.S., station almost always follows a second word that describes what type of station it is unless it is clear which particular station the speaker means: Which way is the bus station?, but I’ll drive you to the station.
