Trojan horse noun
[countable] nounIn Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey, the Greek army besieging the city of Troy built a huge wooden horse and hid soldiers inside it, then pretended to leave. When the Trojans took the horse into the city, the Greek soldiers came out and opened the gates, allowing the city to be destroyed.
